Resolving the Issue from the previous Interview
Previously, each member of the group gathered 5 respondents to be interviewed. First, we asked them problems that they have encountered as a student in their respective courses, work, or field. Next, we presented them our solutions to specific problems, and asked them to choose the best idea that they connect with. Enter the top 3 ideas from the third week. Afterwards, we asked them what are the features they feel that's needed to be added on the ideas that they have chosen, and the features that they do not want to see when it's implemented.
However, the HEARTSEEKERS found out that this was not the appropriate approach in implementing solutions to customers. Instead, we asked them the problems they have encountered relating to each ideas that the HEARTSEEKERS have in mind while the solution is unbeknownst to them. Lastly, we asked them how they somehow have managed to solve their problems.
For instance, one of HEARTSEEKER's ideas was the IC Availability, which aims to create an application that provides customers knowledge beforehand whether the item they want to buy on a specific store is available or not. This way, the customers can decide beforehand to visit the store or not. In this idea in particular, I asked them:
"kanang magpalit kag requirements para sa school projects ninyo rap (respondent's nickname), unsa imo gina encounter na problem?"
In this way, it allows the interview to remain neutral and unbiased. As a result, it yielded a better interview outcome wherein we realized that it's not only the Computer Engineering students or proffesionals, Electrical Engineering students or professionals, nor Electronic Engineering students or professionals that relate to this problem, but basically every course, and field of work, such as Architecture, Civil Engineering, and I.T. I also realized that we not only need to interview customers, but also the business owners, or someone who has connection to that specific store, such as security guards, salesperson, etc.
