  User Interface and User Experience

    Previously in my blog, I learned why Validation is essential for startups in technopreneurship, because it allows the entrepreneurs to make decisions based on what they understood from customers through data gathering in order to decide whether the proposed idea of the team is feasibile in the marketplace or not.

    Another aspect of technopreneurship that relates to the functionality and design of a product or service are User Interface and User Experience.

User Interface

        User Interface or UI refers to the interactive elements in order for the user to interact with a  product or service, consisting of designs such as buttons, icons, menus, and screens. User Interface is essential, because it creates a user-friendly and visually appealing interface that customers use to conveniently to navigate a product or service.

What Makes a Good UI?

    `A good User Interface involves the following characteristics:

        

        1.) Clear and Aesthetically Pleasing Design

                -It is shown that the first thing that a customer looks when looking at a product is the design, and specifically its colors. A good UI should have a good design, which includes its typography, color, theme, and layout.

        2.) Easy to User 

                -A good UI should be easily navigable, wherein its elements are easy to be recognized by the user, and understandable to use.

        3.) Error Free    

                -A good UI should be error free as it affects user experience. It should prevent errors from occuring, and provide helpful messages whenever it does occur.

        4.) Performance

                -Nobody wants to use a product user interface that is unusable due to lag and slow performance. A good UI should be fast and responsive.

    The Heartseekers conceptualized a UI wireframe:

User Experience

      User Experience or UX, refers to the overall experience that the target customer has when interacting with a product or service, which involves their reaction, attitudes, perceptions, and emotions. User Experience aims to provide a positive experience to the target customer/s by addressing their needs and preferences.

User Interface and User Experience

           User Interface and Experience, when combined, forms a user-centered design, ensuring that a product or service desirable and usable.

            I learned in this lesson that User Interface and Experience are critical aspects in technopreneurship as it is vital in the success of progression of a startup product or service. A good UI and UX provides:

• Increased User Satisfaction
• Increased User Engagement
• Reduced Cost

Conclusion

    In conclusion, UI and UX are essential in technopreneurship because they play an important role in creating a memorable and positive experience to the target customers that helps improve the customer's satisfaction. Also, it gives a product an edge over its competitors. I learned that UI and UX will greatly benefit the IC availability product idea of our group, the Heartseekers, especially that the solution provided is by designing and developing a mobile application.
